My thoughts :

I'd listened to No One Noticed for a while before really taking any interest in really looking into the Marías, so when the Sienna trend (artists drawing their fav characters or OC's) got big and I looked for it, I was really suprised to see that those 2 songs were from the same band. I then listened to the whole album, from start to finish, and god did I enjoy the journey.

While I first didn't really liked Ride, I now find this song very important and meaningful to be placed at the start of the album. It feels like the start of a journey, a submarine's first entrance into the sea.

My favorite song of the album is Real Life. This song always puts me in a peculiar, quiet and positive headspace. I feel like I'm floating in some kind of unknown, uncharted place. I've listened to it a lot and it's one of the songs that'll probably stuck with me for a long time.

I always saw this album as more of a space, stars, galaxies album, and not as a deep seas type of thing, but both give similar bubbling, floating, still deep and heavy vibes, and I understand why they chose to go for the water-route. They both tend us to think of something deep and ancient, something that's so vast, that either recalls old, forgotten realms and memories or provokes the need to explore, making us feel tiny in what feels unending.

Some of the songs inspired artworks I did, or, more generally, shaped new ideas and made me discover new facets of what I like, musically and artistically speaking. Sienna is what made me have a clearer vision of the end of the dnd campaign I'm currently running, Real Life made me see all around me galactic winds, flows, wave, creatures, I felt as in a spaceship, exploring places I've never been to. The calm beats, the soft voice and the melodies create such an atmosphere, that I find reassuring, comforting.
